Idaho Pasture Pigs
Our Farm
Raising Pigs Responsibly Since 2020

Idaho Pasture Pigs are truly something special. Created in 2012, Idaho Pasture Pigs are meant to graze on grass with minimal grain and minerals needed as a supplement. They are made from Old Berkshire, Duroc and Kunekune breeds.
The meat from these pigs is different than traditional pork. It is more marbleized, with a deep red color and a sweeter flavor.
IPP's are known for their kind disposition and minimal rooting behavior. This makes them the perfect homestead pig. They can be turned out with goats, horses, and cattle.

Boars mature to about 350 to 450 pounds. Sows are around 250 to 350 pounds. With a diet consisting primarily of grass, the pigs will reach butcher weight of about 250-300 pounds in approximately 10 months.

Our Boars
Webster
Webster is a big ole puppy dog of a boar. He loves belly rubs! Webster is from the Bandit line. He has sired multiple litters for us and continues to produce nice offspring. He was born in 2021.

Our Sows
Piper
Piper is from the Pepper/Bandit lines. She possesses her parent's loving, inquisitive temperament,
Princess
Princess is a big beautiful, curious young sow. She is a proven sow and a wonderful mother. She is from the Diana line.
Poppi
Poppi is Patti's full sister. She is from the Ida line. She comes from Duck Creek Pastures stock, which we are thrilled to have here on our farm. Poppi has already had one healthy litter and is a great mom who farrowed unassisted. She has an excellent temperament as well. Plus she has wattles!
Patti
Patti is one of the best mother's on the farm. She is a full sister to Poppi (also from the Ida line). She farrows unassisted and does a great job keeping them warm, even out in pasture. She also has a sweet, loving temperatment. She is bigger than her sister and is a tricolor without wattles.
Priscilla
Priscilla is our youngest sow. She is out of Penelope and by our now sold boar, Mufasa. We retained her due to her excellent temperament, good confirmation, and good strong bloodlines. We crossed her with Triton, our boar, and she farrowed unassisted for the first time. She is now officially a sow.
